See, It’s Real! is on a mission to bring the unreal to life.

It all started when I was talking to my eldest daughter, over ten years ago now. In one of those silly conversations between an irreverent dad and his ten-year-old child. She asked if we had any noodles. “Yes”, I said. “What flavour?”, she asked. “Bum flavour” I blurted out. After much childish laughter she said “There’s no such thing” and so the idea of this website was hatched.

Not long later, the domain name was purchased, the website built, and a random webpage was created, optimised, and tested. With a successful first place in Google, I confidently approached my daughter and challenged her that I was sure bum-flavoured noodles was a thing. One quick search later, and she was rolling around in laughter, gobsmacked, and highly amused that we Googled it and got a result.

And that was the start of it all.

Since then we’ve seen everything from Hello Wedgie to Squirrel Kebabs. We’ve even taken random keywords that other people have talked about and given them a place on the internet too.

All good for in-jokes amongst friends.

Since this website is purely a bit of fun and the nature of getting something ranked, purely for the hell of it, is about speed, we neither have the time, money, or other resources to throw at it. So, since March 2024, we’ve started using AI-generated content.

The imagination and effort it would take to create the visuals and now the content for something that is somewhat trivial in the grand game of life is beyond what we can afford. And so we’ve started using AI-generated images and filling in the gaps with AI-generated content.
